For instance, if you made an error, admit it, fix it, and accept the consequences for the action. Hiding your mistake through layers of lies and excuses will only make matters worse. Being honest is a major favour that you can do not just for your career and company but also for yourself.
Next, always be on time. If you say you are meeting a client at 9:00 in the morning, then be sure that you are there before or at that time. It is extremely rude to let the other party wait for you so that they could start business. By being punctual, your employer, co-workers, and clients will appreciate your reliability.
Next, obey office policies. They are there for your own good and the company’s progress, a win-win solution. Go through the proper channels if you think the rules are unfair. You can air out your grievances but be sure that you do it politely and you speak with the right people.
Finally, do the best that you can do. Remember, the company is spending a lot for you so it is only prudent that you be diligent in your work. Learn about your work, take the initiative, be creative, and do not let your co-workers carry your own load.
